Product Care

Daily Care

After use, please wash with a neutral detergent and sponge, thoroughly dry off any moisture and air dry. Even kettles and pots used only for boiling water need regular cleaning to prevent the accumulation of evaporated residues (such as calcium, magnesium, etc.) in the water.

Method for Handling Scorched Areas

  1. Pour warm water into the scorched pot.
  2. Add 1 tablespoon of baking soda and stir well.
  3. Add a small amount of cooking oil (2-3 drops).
  4. Place the pot on the stove and heat until boiling, then turn off the heat.
  5. Let it sit for several hours, then after cooling, pour out the water and clean with a sponge. If the scorching is severe, you may need to repeat this process several times.

Note: Baking soda may affect the luster of the enamel.

Prevent Rusting

Enamel products may not fully cover the glaze in certain areas (such as edges, hanging marks). These areas are prone to rusting, especially after contact with moisture, acids, or salts. After use, please thoroughly dry and air dry to prevent rusting.

Usage Precautions

  • Avoid collisions or dropping to prevent surface damage.
  • Do not use on the stove.
  • Avoid dry burning. If accidentally dry burned, please wait for it to cool naturally.
  • After use, please clean and thoroughly air dry.
  • Do not use metal brushes or abrasive cleaners.
  • Do not exceed 70% of the indicated capacity during use to prevent overflow.
FAQ
What should I pay attention to when using enamel products?

Please note the following: avoid collisions or dropping; do not use metal brushes or abrasive cleaners; avoid dry burning when heating; after use, dry off moisture and air dry.

What heat sources can enamel products be used with?

They can be used with gas stoves, induction cookers, and ovens, but not in microwaves. For induction cookers, please ensure the product has the safety mark from the Japan Enamel Industry Association. Enamel products suitable for induction cookers must meet the following conditions: the bottom diameter is at least 12cm, the bottom is flat, and the steel plate thickness meets the regulations.

Will enamel chipping or peeling release harmful substances?

No. Even if the enamel surface chips, the underlying layer is iron, which does not produce harmful substances. Even if rusted, it is only ordinary iron rust and does not pose a health hazard.

Is it normal for enamel products to have black streaks or spots on the edges or surface?

This is normal. Due to the characteristics of the enamel production process, there may be uneven glaze layers, underlying black glaze showing through, or tiny marks from the firing process. These are features of handmade products and do not affect usability, nor do they cause damage or rusting.

How can I keep enamel products clean?

Use a neutral detergent and a non-scratch sponge to clean, then dry off moisture. Avoid using alkaline detergents or chlorine bleach. It is recommended to use wooden or silicone cooking utensils to prevent metal utensils from leaving marks on the enamel surface.

Why does the water in enamel containers sometimes show rainbow colors or white powder?

This is due to the reaction of minerals in the water (such as silica dioxide, calcium oxide, magnesium oxide) forming in high-temperature water. Regular cleaning with a neutral detergent and sponge can prevent this from happening.

If an enamel product is damaged, can I use store-bought repair materials?

It is not recommended. Store-bought enamel repair materials are mainly used for repairing enamel sinks and similar items, and are not suitable for household items that come into contact with food. Please avoid using these repair materials on food containers.
