Product Care

Daily Care

After use, wash with mild detergent and a sponge, then thoroughly dry and air out. Even for kettles and pots used only for boiling water, regular cleaning is necessary to prevent the accumulation of evaporation residues (such as calcium and magnesium) from the water.

How to Handle Burnt Food

  1. Pour lukewarm water into the burnt pot.
  2. Add 1 tablespoon of baking soda and stir well.
  3. Add a small amount of cooking oil (2-3 drops).
  4. Heat the pot until it boils, then turn off the heat.
  5. Let it sit for a few hours, then discard the water and wash with a sponge after it cools. For severe burns, you may need to repeat this process several times.

Note: Baking soda may affect the shine of the enamel.

Preventing Rust

Enamel products may not be fully covered with glaze in certain areas (such as edges or hanging marks). These areas are prone to rusting, especially after contact with water, acid, or salt. To prevent rust, thoroughly dry and air out after use.

Usage Precautions

  • Avoid collisions or drops to prevent surface damage.
  • Do not use on stovetops.
  • Avoid dry heating. If accidentally heated dry, allow it to cool naturally.
  • Wash and thoroughly dry after use.
  • Do not use metal brushes or abrasive cleaners.
  • Do not fill beyond 70% of the indicated capacity to prevent overflow.
FAQ
What precautions should I take when using enamel products?

Please note the following: Avoid collisions or drops; do not use metal brushes or abrasive cleaners; avoid dry heating; dry thoroughly after use and air out.

What heat sources can be used with enamel products?

They can be used with gas stoves, induction cookers, and ovens, but not in microwave ovens. For induction cookers, please check if the product has the safety mark from the Japan Enamel Industry Association. Enamel products suitable for induction cookers must meet the following conditions: bottom diameter of at least 12cm, flat bottom, and steel plate thickness meeting the regulations.

Will harmful substances be released if the enamel chips or peels off?

No. Even if the enamel surface peels off, the base is iron, which will not produce harmful substances. Even if it rusts, it's just ordinary iron rust and won't harm your health.

Is it normal for enamel products to have black lines or spots on the edges or surface?

This is normal. Due to the characteristics of the enamel manufacturing process, there may be uneven glaze, visible black underglaze, or small marks from the firing process. These are features of handmade products and do not affect use or lead to damage or rust.

How can I keep enamel products clean?

Wash with mild detergent and a non-scratching sponge, then dry thoroughly. Avoid using alkaline detergents or chlorine bleach. We recommend using wooden or silicone cooking utensils to avoid metal utensils leaving marks on the enamel surface.

Why does water in enamel containers sometimes appear rainbow-colored or have white powder?

This is due to minerals in the water (such as silica, calcium oxide, magnesium oxide) reacting in high-temperature water. Regular cleaning with mild detergent and a sponge can prevent this from occurring.

Can I use commercially available repair materials if my enamel product is damaged?

We do not recommend this. Commercially available enamel repair materials are mainly for repairing enamel sinks and are not suitable for household items that come into contact with food. Please avoid using these repair materials on food containers.
