Strawberry Napoleon

Ingredients <1 piece>

【Custard Sauce Ingredients】

  • Fresh milk / 200g
  • Egg yolk / 2 pieces
  • Sugar / 30g
  • Custard powder / 10g
  • Low gluten flour / 20g

【Cake crust ingredients】

  • Ready-made puff pastry / 3 pieces
  • Egg liquid / a little

【Ingredients】

  • Fresh strawberries / appropriate amount

        【Preparation】

        1. Cut 3 pieces of puff pastry into the size of plates.

        【How to make custard sauce】

        1. First take about 1/3 of the fresh milk and mix it with other ingredients evenly.

        2. Boil the remaining fresh milk until it is slightly hot, then slowly pour the hot milk into the egg mixture, stirring while adding.

        3. Mix well and cook over low heat while stirring until thickened and remove from heat.

        4. Wrap the custard sauce on the surface with plastic wrap and put it in the refrigerator to refrigerate until later use.

        【Cake crust recipe】

        1. Preheat the plates. Place the pastry on top and use a bamboo skewer to prick small holes in the pastry.

        2. Spread the egg wash on, cover and bake for 4 minutes. Follow the same steps to complete the remaining two pieces of puff pastry.

        3. Put the custard sauce into a piping bag, pipe the custard sauce on the puff pastry, then put fresh strawberries on top, stack the second piece of puff pastry, and so on.

        4. When finished, cut some paper strips and place them on the pastry, then sprinkle with icing sugar. Finally cut into pieces and serve.

        【Tips】

        ・Sealing the custard sauce with plastic wrap can prevent the custard sauce from forming a skin.
