Fried Chicken with Korean Spicy Sauce

Ingredients<Serves 2>

【Main ingredients】

  • Chicken pieces / 400g
  • Cooking oil / 2 tablespoons

【Marinage】

  • Salt / half teaspoon
  • sugar / 1 teaspoon
  • pepper / 1/8 teaspoon
  • Corn flour / 3 tablespoons
  • all-purpose flour / 3 tablespoons

【Sauce】

  • Korean hot sauce / 1.5 tbsp
  • Onion (chopped) / 2 tablespoons
  • Minced garlic / 1 tablespoon
  • Corn syrup / 1.5 tablespoons
  • White sugar / 1 tablespoon
  • Pepper / 1 tsp
  • Water / 3 tablespoons
  • Almond slices (optional) / 1 tablespoon

          【Method】

          1. Marinate the chicken pieces for fifteen minutes.

          2. Mix flour and cornstarch together, coat chicken parts evenly with flour, and then brush with cooking oil.

          3. Place the chicken parts in the air fryer and air fry at 190 degrees for ten minutes.

          4. Take out the frying basket, turn the chicken parts to the other side, and put them into the air fryer and fry at 190 degrees for ten minutes.

          5. To make the sauce, add a teaspoon of oil over low heat. When the oil is hot, add onions and minced garlic, then add other Korean sauce ingredients, and cook the sauce until it boils.

          6. Air fry the chicken pieces and dip them in the sauce, then add chopped almonds or peanuts for decoration.
