Bak Kut Teh

【Main ingredients】

  • Pork ribs  / 500g
  • Whole white pepper  / 1/2 tablespoon
  • Bak Kut Teh soup bag  / 1 package
  • Garlic cloves (with skin) / 10 pieces


  • Soy sauce / 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt / appropriate amount


          1. Clean the pork ribs and soak them in water for 1 hour to remove the blood.

          2. Add water to the pot to cover the pork ribs. Bring to a boil, then reduce to medium and simmer for 5-10 minutes to allow the dirt to fully drain out. Then rinse the blanched pork ribs.

          3. Toast the white pepper in a pan until fragrant, then add tea bags and crush slightly.

          4. Pour water back into the pot (approximately 1.2 liters), add pork ribs, bak kut teh soup packets, and garlic paste, bring to a boil, then reduce to low heat and simmer for 1 hour. Add soy sauce and salt to taste.
