Matcha Red Bean Mochi Taiyaki

Ingredients <8 pieces>

【Main ingredients】

  • Whole egg liquid / 110g
  • Sugar / 20g
  • Salt / 1g
  • Brown sugar / 25g
  • Low gluten flour / 100g
  • Matcha powder / 5g
  • Baking powder / 3g
  • Grapeseed oil / 20g

【Stuffing】

  • Japanese thin rice cake slices / 2 slices
  • Red bean puree / 50g

      【 Preparation 】

      1. Cut the Japanese thin rice cake slices into 8 small pieces.

      2. Divide the red bean paste into 8 small portions.

      【Method】

      1. Mix whole eggs, sugar, salt and fresh milk until the sugar dissolves.

      2. Add sifted low-gluten flour, matcha powder and baking powder and mix well.

      3. Add grapeseed oil and mix well.

      4. Cover with plastic wrap and let rest for about 30 minutes.

      5. Pour batter into about 1/2 of the poisson plate, add rice cake slices and red bean paste, then pour batter on the surface to cover the red bean paste, cover with lid, and bake for 4 minutes.
