Achieving the Perfect Messy Bun

Stylist's Comment: This is a casual yet effortlessly chic updo.

Step-by-Step Tutorial

1. Divide your hair into upper and lower sections. Tie the upper and lower sections into ponytails close to each other, leaving the front sections of hair down for now.

2. Perform a "kururinpa" (pull-through) on each of the two ponytails from Step 1. Flip the tail of the upper ponytail downwards through the center. Flip the tail of the lower ponytail upwards through the center.

3. Take the hair left in front of the ears and create a two-strand twist.

4. Combine the two ponytails and do a "kururinpa" (pull-through) from the bottom up. With the remaining ends, do another "kururinpa" (pull-through) from the top down.

5. Secure the ends with a hairpin. Wrap the two-strand twists around the "kururinpa" section and secure them with hairpins as well.

6. Finally, use the mod's hair Compact Heat Brush (MHB-3041) to curl any loose strands and tidy up the overall look.

7. Finished.
