Glutinous Rice Ball

Ingredients<Serves 2>

【Main white meatball ingredients】

  • Glutinous rice flour / 40g
  • Sticky rice / 3g
  • Warm water / 35ml

          Orange meatball ingredients]

          • Glutinous rice flour / 40g
          • Sticky rice / 3g
          • Carrot powder / 5g
          • Warm water / 35ml

          【Soup ingredients】

          • Water / 500ml
          • Sweet fermented rice / 100g
          • Osmanthus sauce / 2 tbsp

          【Method】

          1. Make the meatballs first, mix the flour and warm water into a non-sticky dough, adjust the amount of water according to the water absorption of the glutinous rice flour.

          2. Cut the glutinous rice dough into small cubes.

          3. Then roll into small balls.

          4. Boil a pot of water. When the water boils, add the small meatballs. After boiling, add a cup of cold water. When it boils again, the meatballs will float to the surface.

          5. Make sweet soup. After the water boils, add the sweet fermented rice and osmanthus sugar. After boiling, add the small balls and serve.

          6. Pour out the meatballs and rinse them with cold water.

          【Tips】

          ・If osmanthus sugar is not available, dried osmanthus and rock sugar can be used instead.
          If you want to make meatballs of different colors, you can also add purple sweet potato powder, matcha powder, pumpkin powder, etc.
