Pan-fried Pork Chop with Herbs
Ingredients<Serves 2>
【Main ingredients】
- Pork chops (about 1.5 cm thick) / 2 pieces
- Sugar / ¼ teaspoon
- Chicken broth or water/2 tbsp
- Sherry / 1 tablespoon
- Oil/2 tsp
【Spices (grind with FinaMill electric spice grinder)】
- Coriander / 1 teaspoon
- Marjoram / 1 teaspoon
- Sage / 1 tsp
- Garlic powder / ¼ tsp
- Salt/¼ tsp
- Black pepper / ¼ tsp
- Chili flakes / ¼ tsp
【Method】
1. Combine freshly ground coriander, marjoram, sage, garlic, salt, pepper and sugar in a small bowl using a FinaMill electric spice grinder. Coat pork chops with 1 teaspoon oil on both sides, then coat with herb mixture .
2. In a pan, use 1 teaspoon of oil to fry the pork chops for 3 to 4 minutes on each side until lightly browned. Remove and keep warm until set aside.
3. Add chicken stock and sherry to the pan, stir in the pan and bring to a boil.
4. Return the pork chops to the pot, reduce the heat to a simmer, cover the pot, and simmer for 4 to 5 minutes, or until the thermometer reads 160 degrees Celsius. Serve the pork chops with the gravy from the pan.
