Ingredients (for 4 people)
- Mountain bread (thick slices) about 1/2 jin
- 8 slices of sausage
- 8 slices of baked ham
- 8 slices bacon (10-12 cm)
- Mozzarella cheese 100g
- 1 tomato
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- A little black pepper
Instructions (preparation time: about 20 minutes)
- Preheat the oven : Preheat the oven to 230°C and set the timer for 10 minutes (preheating time: about 10 minutes).

Prepare the bread : Cut the mountain bread in half lengthwise, then cut into 3-4 cm wide pieces, and cut a notch in each piece to put the filling.

Prepare the filling : Cut the mozzarella cheese into 5 mm wide slices. Cut the tomatoes in half, remove the seeds and cut into 5 mm slices.
- Filling : Place salami, baked ham, bacon, mozzarella cheese and tomato slices into the indentations of each bread cube.
- Arrange on a baking sheet : Place sandwiched bread cubes tightly into an ovenproof dish and sprinkle with olive oil, dried basil and black pepper.
- Bake : Place the packed bread on a baking sheet, then place the baking sheet on the lower shelf of the oven and bake for 10 minutes, until the bread is crispy and the cheese is melted.
This richly stuffed baked bread is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, paired with the deliciousness of mozzarella cheese and tomatoes. It’s perfect for sharing with family and friends.
