French Bouillabaisse


Ingredients (serves 4-6 people)

  • Shrimp: 4 tails
  • Clams (need to spit out sand): 4 pieces
  • Snapper: 1
  • Garlic: half a head
  • Onion: half
  • Celery: 1/2 root
  • Black olives: 12 pieces
  • Olive oil: 2 tablespoons
  • French Bread: Moderate amount

A seasoning

  • Saffron: a little
  • Bay leaf: 1 piece
  • Salt: 1 and 1/2 teaspoons
  • White pepper: a little
  • Tomato paste: 4 tablespoons
  • Water: 400ml
  • White wine: 3 tablespoons

Instructions (preparation time: about 60 minutes)

  1. Preheat oven. Set the temperature to 230°C and the timer to 5 minutes. (Preheating time: about 10 minutes)
  2. Chop the garlic, onion and celery.
  3. Remove the shells from the shrimp, process the scales, gills and guts of the snapper, and make incisions. Sand and wash the clams.
  4. Combine ingredients from step 2 and olive oil in a bowl.
  5. Place the mixture into a baking pan and bake on the upper shelf of the preheated oven for 5 minutes.
  6. Add Step 3, Seasoning A and black olives to the baking sheet and bake for another 30 minutes. Serve with French bread and it's done.
