Black Sesame Dinner Roll

Ingredients<Serves 2>

【Main ingredients】

  • High-gluten flour / 250g
  • Natural yeast stock / 80g
  • Brown sugar / 15g
  • Sea ​​salt / 2g
  • Whole egg / 30g
  • Fresh milk / 130g
  • Unsalted butter / 15g


          1. Mix all ingredients (except butter) and knead until smooth.

          2. Add butter and knead until it forms a thin film, roll it into a ball, cover and ferment until doubled in size.

          3. Press the dough gently to remove air bubbles, divide into 10 equal parts, roll into balls and rest for about 10 minutes.

          4. Roll the dough into an oval shape and tip one end.

          5. Cut off the thick end from the pointed end, make it about 20cm long, roll it up from the thick end, and ferment until doubled in size.

          6. Spread the egg wash on top, sprinkle some white sesame seeds, and bake in a preheated oven at 190 degrees for about 12 to 15 minutes.
