Slow Cooked Red Wine Braised Pears

Ingredients<Serves 2>

【Main ingredients】

  • Pears / 2 pcs


          • Wine / 300ml
          • Cinnamon twig / 1 item
          • Star anise / 1 capsule
          • Lemon peel (only take the yellow part of lemon peel) / 1
          • Brown sugar / 1 teaspoon


          1. Peel and core the pears.

          2. Pour the red wine and sugar into the pot and cook over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.

          3. Add cinnamon twigs and star anise and continue to simmer for 5 minutes.

          4. Pour into a container, add lemon peel and pear.

          5. Cover with a piece of baking paper.

          6. Cap the bottle, put it into the body and cover it.

          7. Set the time to 4 to 6 hours and the temperature to 65°C.

          8. Serve when finished.


          ・The slow cooking time depends on the softness you like. You can test it by inserting a bamboo skewer into a pear halfway through.
