Salmon Head Soup With Tomato And Tofu

Ingredients<Serves 3>

【Main ingredients】

  • Salmon head / 1 piece
  • Tomato / 2
  • Tofu / half brick
  • Ginger / number of pieces
  • Hot water / 1~1.3 liters


    1. Cut the salmon head in half, wash it and dry it with paper towels.

    2. Cut tomatoes and tofu into pieces and set aside.

    3. Turn on medium heat, add appropriate amount of oil, when the oil is hot, add ginger slices, then add salmon head, fry both sides for about 2-3 minutes.

    4. Do not turn off the heat, pour boiling water directly into it, just enough to cover the fish head. Cover and boil over medium heat for 15 minutes.

    5. Then add tomatoes and boil for 5 to 10 minutes. Finally, add tofu and boil for another 5 minutes. Add appropriate amount of salt for seasoning and it's done.


    ・Remember to wash the blood from the fish gills and head, otherwise gray matter will float on it when cooked.
    ・If there is gray substance on the surface of the soup, you can skim it away with a spoon.
    ・The water will evaporate. If you find that the water is too little after 15 minutes, add an appropriate amount of boiling water.
